Ah!

Celeste cheated! I wanted to post about our bed hair together! :(

Oh well, I'll get over it.

We practically spent the entire day together yesterday (which would be Saturday, in case you're wondering). Celeste drove dad's AWESOME stick-shift 4-runner--because James was fixing her car--and we went to the DI and bought some REALLY cool stuff (hooray!), and then a little later we left home again and went to the park and just laid on the grass and looked at the sky--sometimes reading Emily Dickenson--and talked. It was quite nice. ^_^ Then as we were heading home, she REALLY wanted a snowcone. Go figure. And I had to pay. Go figure. And I bumbled like an idiot instead of saying "Nothing for me" when we were ordering. Go figure. Yes, I'm a bozo.
haha, No, Celeste doesn't actually make me pay for everything... I'm just being a brat. And I wanted one more thing to say "go figure" to. ^_^

Peace.

bed heads.

Megan and I had a sleep over last night in my room, and when we woke up this morning, we had CRAZY HAIR.  I always have bad bed head, so I've pretty much accepted the fact that I'm going to wake up looking not-so-good, but Megan can usually keep it together.  This morning however, it looked like she had just come in from a storm with wind blowing fiercely west.  We laughed for awhile about it, and then managed to tame our hair.

Love, Celeste.

dad!

Today, Megan and I had the AWESOME experience of having our dad get the Priesthood, and also hearing the closing prayer in the Elders quorum.  The first part was amazing beyond words, and best expressed in tears, and the second was just plain magical.  Actually, it really was a good prayer, the opportunity was just presented and made clear to us in a really funny way.  It went something like "and now for a once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity --you get to hear the closing prayer in Elders quorum."
You know, like witnessing your dad receive the Priesthood isn't a big deal at all.

After church and the ordination, we got to hang out with Michelle, Allyson, and Grandpa which was way fun.  We thought we lost Grandpa for a time though, which was sort of scary, because only heaven knows where he would have gone.  Luckily though, my eagle's eye spotted him, and Mitch and I were able to retrieve him from down the street.  We ate a delicious dinner prepared by our mother (an excellent and gracious cook), and then we listened to funny, FUNNY stories told by dad.  Which, we figured out were funny because we weren't there.  To elaborate on this confusing statement, the conversation in which this epiphany came to us went something like this:
"Dad tells the funniest stories about things that were long ago."
"Only from long ago?"
"Yeah, the stories he tells about things that happened recently usually aren't very funny."
"Do you think that it may possibly have to do with the fact that we know what happened in the recent stories, and when he doesn't tell them exactly how we remember them, we get caught up in the details he forgets? And that because we weren't there in his stories of long ago, we don't know what he's leaving out, so they're funnier to us?"
"Yeah, probably."

It was a pretty great epiphany, if I do say so myself.

Ack! Bad Megan! *Slaps hand*

Stop forgetting to post. >_<

This last Tuesday, we had our TACO TUESDAY! But, it was with ADAM! Wow, what a cool kid. ^_^ Anyway, Celeste REALLY wanted Taylor to come, but he was at Costco getting his tires rotated. So we ate our tacos, and when we were done, we were sitting in the car, and Celeste says, "Should we just show up at Costco and be like, 'Hey Taylor! We just wanted to get some churros.' But of course, I had to point out that Del Taco has churros too. haha, I'm such a brat sometimes.

After we got done laughing about that, we wandered around Best Buy for a little while, and when we were walking back to the car, someone started HONKING at us! ...It was Taylor. ^_^ And his DAD! Whoo! They stopped to say hi (Go Taylor, the cute dork).

Later as we were dropping Adam off, and he was walking to his front door, he was waving goodbye and HE RAN INTO HIS TREE! Celeste and I were laughing so freakin' hard, and we sat there for a minute... And then he just stood there like a the silly boy he is, so I rolled down the window and said, "What?! It was COOL!" Ah, good times.

Peace.
