Quotes that make you say "WTF?!"

After dropping Adam off home after a night of excitement, Celeste and I made some memorable memories together. And quotes. Such as:

Celeste: For the long time--

Megan: Wait--what?! "for the long time...?"

Celeste: Oh... hahaha!

And:

Megan: It smells like bacon.

Celeste: I was thinking more chemically enhanced campfire...

Thank you and goodnight.

matchy-matchy.

Sometimes, we accidently match.

This time though, we accidently matched from head to toe.
We surprised one another, and astounded our parents.

Great minds think alike?
Or I've sufficiently trained Megan in the art of imitating me?

Who's to say.

h-h-halloween.

Sometimes we do awesome things.

Like wear cute, but tacky Halloween socks.

Oi. I'm a horrible poster.

But we sure made funny videos tonight.

We were pretty spastic.

Awesome sauce.

a cupcake story.

So, last Saturday pretty much rocked.  Here are the reasons why:

  1. Our family got sealed FOREVER in the Salt Lake Temple
  2. We got to see our family and party it up
  3. Meier's (how do you spell that?!) chicken and mom's potatoes
  4. Family pictures
  5. Brynn joined the family for the party
  6. WE GOT A FREE CUPCAKE FROM A STRANGER WHILE DRIVING!
And the last part is what I wish to share.  As they shared their cupcake and forever changed our lives.

So, we're driving down North Temple (or West Temple, or something... getting on the freeway), and like the law-abiding citizens we are, we stop at the red light, next to another law-abiding citizen.  However, this citizen happened to be carrying a passenger in their vehicle, who just happened to be chow-ing down on a cupcake!  It was then that Megan followed her impulsive desire to comment on said passenger's plight.  She leans over, so as to be in his view, and says out our open window into his, "Mmm.  looks delicious."
His response was in the affirmative, and then the light changed to a bright emerald green, heralding us to pull forward and continue our drive.  As the cupcake-transporting car sped up, an arm popped out of the passenger window, bearing a cupcake, inviting us to speed up and seize the treat.  Karl did so, and for one brief, intense moment, we passengers thought the cupcake was smashed for sure.  But his grasp proved to be tender, and the cupcake was in our possession.  The cute, un-smashed, tempting cupcake, was in our possession.
At the next reddened light, we thanked our fellow law-abiding citizens, and nodded our heads in appreciation as we departed.  They turned safely left, and we kept straight on until the freeway, disappearing on the horizon, the little Toyota truck becoming but a speck in the observer's eye.

And the cupcake was delicious.
(Lemony, in fact!)

THE END.

cause we coo' like dat!

okay, this post is going to be completely in lower case. i don't know why, but it will be.

okay, here we go!

yesterday, celeste and i spent the entire day together. it was shveet.
well, i woke up first and went to school, and then i came home around 11 and she wasn't awake yet, although we had lessons that day. o_O so she eventually got up (45 minutes before we had to leave) and then we went to lessons, and came home. obviously celeste wasn't satisfied with just being home, so we went to brushfire and made a plate for mommy for mother's day. it took us forever and my mom had called, asking where we were. *gasp* i lied to my mom! i told her we were wandering around main street. which, wasn't a huge lie, because we were actually on main street anyway.

well, as we were talking as we worked, i complained that i wanted food. doughnuts, in fact. so when we were done (and it was already 6, at which time my mom wanted us home at. oops!) we went and got doughnuts from harmons. we also saw taylor (ironically) and stopped to talk to the cheesemonger. what a cool guy! i love talking to him. anyway, we got two doughnuts each and downed them. they were definitely delicious.

i want more now... *salivates* hahahaha

so basically, i ♥ harmons' doughnuts.

peace.

Ah!

Celeste cheated! I wanted to post about our bed hair together! :(

Oh well, I'll get over it.

We practically spent the entire day together yesterday (which would be Saturday, in case you're wondering). Celeste drove dad's AWESOME stick-shift 4-runner--because James was fixing her car--and we went to the DI and bought some REALLY cool stuff (hooray!), and then a little later we left home again and went to the park and just laid on the grass and looked at the sky--sometimes reading Emily Dickenson--and talked. It was quite nice. ^_^ Then as we were heading home, she REALLY wanted a snowcone. Go figure. And I had to pay. Go figure. And I bumbled like an idiot instead of saying "Nothing for me" when we were ordering. Go figure. Yes, I'm a bozo.
haha, No, Celeste doesn't actually make me pay for everything... I'm just being a brat. And I wanted one more thing to say "go figure" to. ^_^

Peace.

bed heads.

Megan and I had a sleep over last night in my room, and when we woke up this morning, we had CRAZY HAIR.  I always have bad bed head, so I've pretty much accepted the fact that I'm going to wake up looking not-so-good, but Megan can usually keep it together.  This morning however, it looked like she had just come in from a storm with wind blowing fiercely west.  We laughed for awhile about it, and then managed to tame our hair.

Love, Celeste.

dad!

Today, Megan and I had the AWESOME experience of having our dad get the Priesthood, and also hearing the closing prayer in the Elders quorum.  The first part was amazing beyond words, and best expressed in tears, and the second was just plain magical.  Actually, it really was a good prayer, the opportunity was just presented and made clear to us in a really funny way.  It went something like "and now for a once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity --you get to hear the closing prayer in Elders quorum."
You know, like witnessing your dad receive the Priesthood isn't a big deal at all.

After church and the ordination, we got to hang out with Michelle, Allyson, and Grandpa which was way fun.  We thought we lost Grandpa for a time though, which was sort of scary, because only heaven knows where he would have gone.  Luckily though, my eagle's eye spotted him, and Mitch and I were able to retrieve him from down the street.  We ate a delicious dinner prepared by our mother (an excellent and gracious cook), and then we listened to funny, FUNNY stories told by dad.  Which, we figured out were funny because we weren't there.  To elaborate on this confusing statement, the conversation in which this epiphany came to us went something like this:
"Dad tells the funniest stories about things that were long ago."
"Only from long ago?"
"Yeah, the stories he tells about things that happened recently usually aren't very funny."
"Do you think that it may possibly have to do with the fact that we know what happened in the recent stories, and when he doesn't tell them exactly how we remember them, we get caught up in the details he forgets? And that because we weren't there in his stories of long ago, we don't know what he's leaving out, so they're funnier to us?"
"Yeah, probably."

It was a pretty great epiphany, if I do say so myself.

Ack! Bad Megan! *Slaps hand*

Stop forgetting to post. >_<

This last Tuesday, we had our TACO TUESDAY! But, it was with ADAM! Wow, what a cool kid. ^_^ Anyway, Celeste REALLY wanted Taylor to come, but he was at Costco getting his tires rotated. So we ate our tacos, and when we were done, we were sitting in the car, and Celeste says, "Should we just show up at Costco and be like, 'Hey Taylor! We just wanted to get some churros.' But of course, I had to point out that Del Taco has churros too. haha, I'm such a brat sometimes.

After we got done laughing about that, we wandered around Best Buy for a little while, and when we were walking back to the car, someone started HONKING at us! ...It was Taylor. ^_^ And his DAD! Whoo! They stopped to say hi (Go Taylor, the cute dork).

Later as we were dropping Adam off, and he was walking to his front door, he was waving goodbye and HE RAN INTO HIS TREE! Celeste and I were laughing so freakin' hard, and we sat there for a minute... And then he just stood there like a the silly boy he is, so I rolled down the window and said, "What?! It was COOL!" Ah, good times.

Peace.

I apologize for not spending more time with you these last couple of weeks.

I love you.

bedtime stories. past bedtime!

A couple of nights ago, after my friend Janessa and I got home from the airport, we woke Megan up in a flurry of words and emotions about our trip to San Francisco.

We kept Megan up from two thirty-ish until four fifteen with stories about the adventures we had, the things we saw, the people we met... ahhh it was exciting.  And super fun to have Janessa acting the same ridiculous way I was, with my little sister.  Afterwards she told me it made her wish she had a sister, which I volunteered to be.

Anyway, it was great, and we had a party in Megan's bedroom, which didn't help our jet lag or our lack of sleep we were battling with already.

But um, how could I NOT wake my sister up as soon as I got home???

hehehe...

Celeste was doing her art project in her room tonight. I came in and wanted to just sit and chill, but I wanted to do something at the same time. I noticed how her colored pencils were broken, dull, etc. So... I sat there for about ten minutes and just sharpened her pencils. It was really, really funny of me. hahaha, I loved it.

Peace.

powder. you know? like the snow.

Megan and I bonded tonight by watching a really great science fiction movie tonight.

Okay, so the science wasn't even that great, and neither was the movie.
But, it did have an albino in it, which sort of lent it an eerie mood.
Especially since this was a GENIUS albino with SUPERPOWERS.

The reason for his being albino is still a mystery to us, because as far as I know, they aren't born with a keen ability to make cutlery magnetize, or make electronics flip out.

Perhaps I should do some reading up on the subject...

Taco Tuesday!

So on Tuesday, Celeste comes to me about 10:30 and says, "Megan! It's 'Taco Tuesday' at Del Taco! and... I want tacos. Let's go."

Celeste was in her pajamas, and I hadn't changed yet, so I hopped into MY pjs and hopped into the car. We listened to awesome music on the way, and when we pulled up to the drive-thru, I was being really obnoxious. ^_^ It was hilarious. Well, to me, at least. >.>

We got our tacos, and then we're like, "where are we going to eat them?" and I said, "let's eat in the Robert's parking lot!" Boy did Celeste shut me down quick. She was like, "No way! There are no cars and that just creeps me out." So I asked, "Then where do you suggest we go?" Celeste: "Wal*Mart." Wow, much better! haha, Yeah, whatever.

Well, we're eating, and man, it was dark! She parked right under the lightpost. Um... kind of a bad idea. Maybe one or two stalls away would have been better, the light was right on top of us where we couldn't use it. >.< Silly Celeste. But the tacos were delicious, mmmm! And Megan doesn't really like tacos, woohoo. :P

And the moral of the story is: Hooray for Taco Tuesday! ^_____^

Peace.

We Like to Party!

We like, we like to party! We like to party!

Yes. We do.

Lessy and I had a "silent dance party". It was great! What it actually was, was we each took our iPods and ran up to the dirt lots by our house and danced to the same music, at the same time, on different iPods. It was amazing at how much freedom we had. We could have been 40 feet from eachother and still listen to the same music. Talk about neat! We tried to invite Trent, but he had to watch his sister and cousins. But he was more than willing to give us more music! We gave him our music too. It was awesome! So now I have like, 8 Backstreet Boys songs. o_O Meh, whatever.

It was really, really fun. And then I shouted to Jordan's house... Muahahaha *devilish laugh* I don't think Celeste was very happy from that. In fact, I KNOW she wasn't. She told me so. Oops! ^_~

I love hanging out with Celeste...

Peace.

we scream for ice cream!

but, not really, because that's just impolite.

Buuuuut, we do enjoy the occasional scoop.
At Baskin Robins, nonetheless.

Yummy.

I got nutty coconut, and Megan got one of my favorites --lime daquiri.

And we both decided that a girl that could eat her ice cream in front of a boy knows something the rest of the girls that won't eat anything in front of them do.

Confidence, people, you have to have confidence!

It's not my fault!

For your reading edification, the reason I posted about my birthday, was because you (Celeste) gave me crap about not writing it was my birthday. So I decided to go the whole nine yards and tell about it. I'm sorry you haven't spent time with me, Miss College... -_- I needed to write something, anyway. I'm sorry for writing an irrelevant post.

YARG!!!

Ugh, so I'm really bad at posting. I never update my own, either. >_< I'm a terrible person.

So, um, yes! it was my birthday on Saturday the 26th of January, and yes, I'm a space and didn't write about it! Now I'm REALLY a terrible person... >.<

Okay, okay. It's now time for Saturday's events. Well, actually, I should let you know that my family picked up Cristal from American Fork on Friday night for simplicity's sake. Anyway, so on Saturday, once we got up to The Canyons, and the weather was PERFECT, literally perfect--little, to no wind; sun; comfortable temperatures. So as Cristal and I were riding up the Gondola, I talked to a guy from California (he was super cute, too. ^______^). Then we grabbed a table and hit the slopes. Cristal just needed a little improvement, so I helped that day with that. Then she ordered me to go do a run on my own while she rested, because she was getting kind of achy on her side. I decided to try the Terrain Park... Yeah, I really suck at it, but at least I try. >_<

When I went back to Cristal, we had lunch. She had brought a Cup of Noodles for me and herself, so we went to go fill them with hot water. Well, I looked at mine and I said, "Uuuh, this one looks like someone stabbed it with a fork. o_O" I just decided to try and eat it anyway--I could always grab a coffee cup and put it in there. Um... That didn't work. It ended up burning my hand. Oh, geez. We just ate hers and bought pizza, yum!

Anyway, we got back onto the slopes and then we started recording stuff. :) Yeah, I got some interesting stuff on film. Cristal falling, when I was talking about how I should have "accidently" caught the cute boy on film... Yup, that kind of stuff!

Again, she told me to go do a run alone. So as an obedient individual, I went! ^_^ I went down Silver Horse, and I met these HILARIOUS guys that were talking about how they were from Seattle (one of them had a Seahawks beanie, in which I replied "Go Seahawks!" He really didn't like them all that much, he just wanted to sport his city. :D), and then he kept cracking silly jokes like going down the mountains cutting down trees to keep from running into them (It's Machetti time!). Boy, it was great! Anyway, I went down and LOVED it, as always.

So I went back to Cristal and we snowboarded a little bit more before she ordered me to go on another run. So when I hopped on the ski lift, I went with this boyfriend and girlfriend couple. They were really cool. I was sitting next to the man so I mainly talked to him because the lady didn't say much (in fact, did she even say anything at all? I don't think so. o_O). But he was really neat! They were from California, and he asked me where I was from and if The Canyons was like my backyard, in which I replied, "Um, sort of... You could say that--I mean, I live in St. George, but it used to be when I still lived in Salt Lake." Then he asked me why I was up here and I said that I was up for Michele and Niall (I said cousin, just so you know.), and because it was my birthday. ^_^ He happily wished me a happy birthday! It was great. Anyway, I went down Silver Horse again and had a blast. Gosh, I love that run... ^______^ So since it connects to High Meadow, I was going down and I was like, "Oh, my gosh! What a coincidence, there's Cristal!" Yeah, I snowboarded next to her the rest of the run... It was rad.

Well, we needed to go, so I told her she could go on the Gondola and I would race her down to the bottom on my snowboard. And we were off! I get up the lift, I'm going down the run, I get through the steepest part and right after I went over some ice and fell. >.<>

We got back and got ready for the family party and then headed over there. Cristal and I walk into the kitchen and--as always--there was a mass of related bodies. O_O I introduced Cristal to everyone--not that she remembered most of their names, and they remembered hers... Meh--so we ate, and partied, and ate, and I got sung "happy birthday" to, talked in the "girl circle" in the front room... Yeah, it was great. Freakin' McKenna's such a hottie! All the boys will (and probably do already) chase after that girl. Looks like I'll have to take out the ol' baseball bat and fend off boys who get too close. *Sigh* I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles, eh?

All in all, it was a good day. ^_^

-Megan

P.S. Yay! I posted, Celeste! ^___^

you've had a birthday, shout hooray!

Well, it's obvious to me that Megaroni is NEVER going to post.

Never, ever, ever.

So Megan, what's your excuse?

In other news... the other day was Megan's birthday.
She's fifteen.
My sister is fifteen.
How cool is that?!
Megan reminds me of being fifteen, and that was such a funny age.  I really hope she enjoys it.

Happy birthday! I love you!

what???

We have moved on from Muppet Treasure Island to bigger fish.

Actually, bigger and badder things.

And when I say bad-er, I mean bad-er.

We unknowingly rented a movie last night that showed boobs three times in the first four minutes.  Which, I think is a record for any non-porno movie.

Which makes me wonder.  Was it porno?

I hate nudity!
Er, within reason.
I mean, I can't hate my own when I'm bathing and whatnot.

But come on.  Nobody wants to see that.
And if they do, then they will probably just go rent a porno movie.
Or check the rating boxes for a nudity warning.

Which this movie had no indication of.

I'm pretty upset, I must admit.

Anyway, I'm sorry Megan.
I didn't mean to.

Muppet Treasure Island

Last night Celeste and I watched Muppet Treasure Island together. ^_^ It was so funny, and I had forgotten the comedy in the Muppets.

Celeste turned to me during the movie and she said, "You know, the director doesn't have to worry about the scenery and background looking fake, or being too over the top because half the cast are puppets!" It was awesome. And true. ^_^

The movie was really comical and I actually liked it. YAY FOR MUPPETS!

"I know for a fact that that boat is UNSAFE!"
hehehe, That's so rad.

voice concert.

Megan and I sang last night with our voice teacher, Terry.

It was great, and the seniors enjoyed it very much.

We enjoyed the seniors very much as well.

They are adorable, and they hold your hand when they talk to you.
It's great.

a war of epic proportions.

Tonight, we were supposed to go to bed early because we've both been sick, and we both have a presidency meeting at the Bishop's house at eight in the morning.

But we chose not to.

Instead, we listened to some Colloquial Mage and then came across two rubber bands in Celeste's room.  They were the good kind.  The biggish kind that stretch really far without breaking.  Yeah, that kind.

Then it began.

The rubber band war that lasted twenty-five minutes, with only two rubber bands.  Our boundaries were clear, the stripes going across Celeste's bedspread defined our territories.  Megan was on the left side of the bed, with Celeste shooting at her from the right side.  Sometimes though, Megan was shooting at Celeste.  We weren't very good at keeping our ammunition in stock.  Call it impatience, call it having too good of a time, but we'll blame it on lousy government budgeting.  Celeste's "government" seemed to have done something right, she was placed in a base loaded with soft pillows, creating a nice stock of shields.  Megan was forced to resort to using local wildlife (our dog Zoe) as her protection.  Amazingly, that was the one time Celeste actually hit the target.  And sadly.

But this one-on-one war called for an end.

So, after an excruciating twenty-five minutes, we came to a truce.  No more violence, that we may have peace forever throughout the land.

The end.

in essence, middle earth may die.

For the last week or so, our family has all been sick with some upper respiration thing and it has been no fun at all, as anyone could imagine.  Well, I decided that since I was going to spend all day in bed yesterday, that I would grab a few movies to watch as I laid there.  The ones I grabbed, as Megan pointed out to me, are all war movies.  Why did I choose them?  I can't say.  But for the last two days I have been watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy movies.

Today, Megan joined me for the Two Towers, and we've sat in my bed laughing and making fun, being intensely grossed out, and even crying.  We handed out the "Cutest Baby" award to a little brown eyed, curly-haired little thing, and we have also compared the Orks [Orchs? Orx? Orcks? Oarcks? (question on the spelling there)] to many different farm and forest animals.  The comparisons have been with mostly ugly, stupid animals, too.  It's been great.  And, we've been humidifying, just like mother told us to!  Check us out.

In other news, we've been going through a lot of nasal spray, and I've been eating a lot of chocolate.  I figure it will cure whatever I've got.  Yes!

MSN Conversations with Celeste.

Yesss!! I get first post! *Does first post dance* Well, besides the rules... but they don't count. *Continues dance*

Celeste and I seem to have a lot of MSN conversations with eachother... It's pretty geeky, but we do it anyway. >.>

Today's conversation is about handstands, Megan's handstands. ^_^ It started when I was being a jerk to Celeste. Here's a little snippet of how it began.

Megan:"WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO?!?!"

Celeste: "Of Montreal..."

Megan: "Shut it."

Megan: "hahaha, I'm sorry. I'm being a jerk."

Celeste: "Well, other than stating the obvious, what else can you do?"

Megan: "I can do a handstand..."

And so began the colloquy of my new job.
Celeste wanted to pay me to do 100 handstands for ten dollars at her "party" next week. (Ugh, what? Ten dollars?!) I wanted a raise and I threatened to quit, but Celeste begged me, stating that her guests would be disappointed. (Yeah, whatever... >.>) I stated again that I couldn't work for so little. Then she pulled out the questions "Are you a professional?" "Are you educated in hand-standing?" Psssh, of course I am! I spent three months in gymnastics, sheesh! So--of course--I said that I did. And she wanted documentation! Then I yelled (and I quote) "I DO GREAT HANDSTANDS!!!!!!!" so she said "I'm sure you do! That's why I want to pay you TEN DOLLARS for them!" I demanded eleven, and she wanted me to do 110! What?! I wanted a raise, not more work. -_- So she struck a deal: I get ten-fifty, and she throws in free refreshments. Sounded good to me--I didn't need to buy dinner, yessss... ^_^

Um... The end. ^_^ Yup, there isn't any more. Yay for pointless stories!

-Megan
